God’s Perfect Timing

Claire Moore has been working for Langham Partnership in the publishing team since March 2014 after moving to Carlisle. Claire is from Orleans in France and her job involves editorial work on both French and English manuscripts, supporting projects for Francophone Africa, liaising with partners and colleagues as well as our eBook transformation process and helping with the distribution of book information to book suppliers. Having first moved to the UK for a year as a student, Claire transferred universities to Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland to complete her studies in publishing. It was in Aberdeen that Claire got engaged to Steve Moore who later got a job as a full-time Elder at a church here in Carlisle and Claire ended up lodging with Steve’s fellow Elder, and the Director of Langham Literature, Pieter Kwant and his wife Elria. We thank God for this series of events which introduced the work of Langham Partnership to Claire, and introduced Claire’s obvious skills and talents to Pieter!

Resourcing and strengthening the church in Francophone Africa is a key objective for Langham Partnership, especially with theological books in French being much less available than those in English. When you look for theological books written originally in French or books by Africans in French the list diminishes more and more. Providing more evangelical books in French was and still is a key goal for Langham and bringing Claire on board was an integral part of achieving this.

It is with great joy that we celebrate with Claire at this time as she starts maternity leave with the due date of her and Steve’s first child on 17th November. The team in Carlisle has been really blessed by Claire’s presence and contribution both professionally and personally. We look forward to God introducing this new child to the world and working with Claire again when she returns later in 2018.  Please join with us in prayer for Claire, Steve and their soon to be born child.
